Plus – Additional event - The ‘British Wadokai Cup’, for the overall title of British Wadokai National Kata
Champion (the BWK ‘all competitors challenge’ Kata Cup).
BWK Club & Individual Applications MUST be in BEFORE: 10/05/10 – NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE.
Venue: Tanbridge School, Guildford Road, Horsham, West Sussex.
Book-in: With Licence (for EKF Member Chit Number inspection), 9.30am. Eliminations: 10am. Categories for all ages and levels.
Due to location, it may be advised to bring a packed-lunch/refreshments etc.
Correct Dress Code: Competitors must wear clean white Gi and official Bogu. Judges must wear blazer, white shirt/tie, black trousers and soft footwear (no shoes), etc. Only British Wadokai Official/Certified Judges/Referees will be in attendance.
We have the pleasure of Sports Therapist, Gordon Hoare (5th Dan) Renshi, who is fully qualified in
Sports Injury/Massage, will be in attendance. He will be available to treat ‘anyone’ with any injuries or
on-going problems related to Sport or other Physical Injury (he will also be available for Private
Consultation, if required).

Black Belt and 1st Kyu Standardisation Course.
The course is open to all S.E.M.K.A/BWK members of 1st Kyu and above. All students of these grades from S.E.M.K.A. must attend these courses.

British Wadokai Instructors /EKF Coaching Course
Compulsory for all BWK/SEMKA Instructors who have not got an Instructors/Coaching award. Paul Elliott - British Wadokai /English Karate Federation (EKF) recognised assessor is holding a Coaching Course, which all BKW/SEMKA instructors have to attend to be able to instruct in a BWK/SEMKA karate club. This course for all Instructors who need to qualify in the following British Wadokai Instructors awards and the EKF coaching awards
JUNIOR DOJO LEADER
LEVEL 1 - PROVISIONAL COACH
LEVEL 2 - ASSISTANT COACH
LEVEL 3 – CLUB COACH
LEVEL 4- SENIOR COACH
LEVEL 5 – CHIEF INSTRUCTOR
‘S’ LEVEL – SPECIALIST COACH.
The course will explain the implications and requirements needed in order to pass the EKF Assessment in your own Dojo.
